Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism is the gateway of Christian Life.  Through this sacrament, the soul passes through Christ's Passion, Death, and Resurrection and experiences death of the old self and rebirth as a child of God.

Baptisms usually take place on Sundays after the 11:30am Mass.  In most cases, the parish priest, or a deacon, administers the sacrament anointing the person being baptized with oils and pouring blessed water over the child, or adult’s head.
