ENDOW study group for women
Then name ‘ENDOW’ is an acronym for ‘Educating on the Nature and Dignity of Women’. Rooted in the teachings of Pope St. John Paul II, Endow’s mission is to empower women by helping them understand their ‘feminine genius’ and apply it to their lives. The goal is to equip women to bring an authentic feminine presence to the family, the Church, and the wider society.
We meet weekly for an eight-to-twelve-week session, at the Religious Education Center at St. Andrew’s church. In a typical meeting, participants read a text aloud together and then discuss the material using a series of guided questions.
Our study topics change with the completion of each session. Endow’s study guides cover a wide range of subjects drawn from Catholic Tradition:
Papal documents:
1. Pope St. John Paul II’s Letter to Women and Mulieris Dignitatem (On the Dignity and Vocation of Women)
2. Pope Benedict XVI’s Deus Caritas Est (God is Love)
3. Vatican II documents like Lumen Gentium (Light of the Nations)
Saints and theologians:
1. St. Thomas Aquinas
2. Female Doctors of the Church, such as St. Catherine of Siena and St. Teresa of Avila
3. St. Edith Stein
Our Endow study group fosters a supportive environment for women to connect, share their faith journeys, and build genuine friendships.
